When we empower women great things happen

Empowered women empower women- that why Tatiana Karelina and WE have teamed up to do just that for women and young girls across rural Kenya so that they can be the leaders of tomorrow! Every custom of a Tatiana Karelina product or service now connects our clients to a positive, life-changing impact. Tatiana Karelina has chosen to support women’s empowerment centres as well as building two schools for young girls in Narok, Kenya.

Women’s Empowerment Centres provide resources like financial-literacy and entrepreneurship training to help women learn the skills they need to earn an income, start a business and build their savings. When young girls are educated, they are armed with the courage and self-confidence to build a brighter future for themselves. It’s time for us to band together and fight for women and girls to have equal opportunity everywhere. Together, we can uplift women and girls in Kenya to become leaders in their communities, creating change for generations to come!

Girls Education

We are deeply passionate about ensuring every girl has access to education. In rural Kenya, young girls have numerous barriers that prevent them from getting an education, such as helping their family with household chores, lengthy water walks and the distance to the closest school. WE partners with local communities in Narok County to ensure girls have access to quality education in their region. This is accomplished by helping build schools and schoolrooms with close access to clean drinking water and by giving basic school supplies, furniture and food. By ensuring girls have access to local quality education attendance, academic and graduation rates have massively improved. With only your custom you are giving these girls the opportunity to forge a brighter future for themselves.

Women’s Empowerment

Empowered women empower women. The “Mamas” in rural Kenya face multiple obstacles to earning a sustainable income, such as family commitments and a lack of job opportunities. To help address these challenges, WE partners with the “Mamas” to provide access to financial tools and training through Women’s Empowerment Centres. These centres provide training on business education, financial and computer literacy, as well as other skills that support them in becoming entrepreneurs. With education and training, WE has seen incredible change—women’s self-esteem is raised and they have become strong voices and leaders in their community. Every single impact you give from your custom adds up to incredible change.

WE want a world where all children—girls and boys—have access to education and where no child has to work to ensure their family’s survival. Poverty isn’t the result of a single cause. The issue is complex and rooted in a number of correlated social and economic obstacles. If you only tackle one issue, regardless of the money and resources you invest, the cycle of poverty will persist. That’s why WE created an international development model that addresses the five primary causes of poverty (Education, Water, Food, Health and Opportunity) with holistic and sustainable solutions that work in tandem to transform communities.
